This was my last (I think) wedding for the year! I was a bridesmaid for my lovely friend Annie. She got married in the same backyard I did. Since I didn't have any
bridesmaids and hadn't ever been a "normal" or typical bridesmaid, and
never knew what it felt like, this was my first experience. I am talking
about those types of weddings you see in movies and in wedding mags,
where the girlies get together and curl (or straighten) their hair, do
their make-up, and talk about boys. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. (say what? yep.) So there we all were walking around with our coffees, some in their PJs, others in robes, me in no make-up and gettin' things ready.

I sat there absorbing this
girlyness for a few hours and even decided to straighten my hair. (What?) Yes. I did.

After hours of the beautification process (kinda felt like Esther in the
bible), I walked out...and most people didn't even recognize me. Shoot, I hardly recognized myself!
My
friend's little 3 year old kept calling me some other name, one of my
buddies was like "???" and my other friend walked right passed me and
didn't know it was me. I admit, I had fun. It sorta felt like Halloween
and you know that
I dig all these costume/theme parties because I
love dressing up! So although I wasn't too fond of my straight-haired
look, I was havin' fun!
I have to say, the wedding party was pretty darn good lookin' and the guests were looking pretty fly! Gosh, I have some gorgeous friends!!!

And of course, it was an opportunity for my hubby and I to dress up and take advantage of this. We just love weddings and it reminds us of our own wedding, the vows we took, and the beauty of marriage!
